Against all the evil that Hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce, we will send unto them… only you. Rip and tear, until it is done.

Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal are arguably the two best FPS from recent times.

Developed by id Software and published by Bethesda, Doom and Doom Eternal breathed new life into the Doom franchise. They set a new standard for the genre, not only through the gameplay.

One of the most notable aspects of these games was the incredible soundtrack, composed by Mick Gordon. The soundtrack plays a crucial role in creating the games’ adrenaline-fueled atmosphere.

Mick Gordon achieved uniqueness. He used a range of innovative recording techniques, including recording chains of electric guitars and basses. He also used a range of unconventional instruments such as chains, metal plates, and a chainsaw. A literal chainsaw. (You can recognise the sample most notably in Rip & Tear from Doom 2016).

Have you ever snored testosterone? Listen to these 5 tracks, and you’ll get close to it.
