Shadow Man, a classic PS2 game from 2002, is finally getting a follow-up after over 20 years.

The series first started in 1999 with the release of the first game on PC, N64, and PS1, followed by a sequel two years later, exclusive to PS2. Shadow Man: 2econd Coming was the sequel’s title. If you’re up to date with gaming news, you may already know that both games are receiving a new follow-up called Shadowman: Darque Legacy.
Blowfish Studios and Valiant Entertainment have announced the game’s release for PC, PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X in 2024. The game’s title has been altered by removing the space between “Shadow” and “Man,” but it’s unclear why. Additionally, it’s not clear if it’s a sequel, reboot, or something different, but we know it’s a new original story.
The official blurb for Shadowman: Darque Legacy reads, “For centuries, the Boniface family has carried a dark legacy—the mantle of the Shadowman, walker between worlds, sworn to preserve the veil between life and death. Now, novice Shadowman Jack Boniface is thrust into the path of a growing evil that threatens everything his predecessors fought for. This new chapter builds on the decades of Shadowman tales from Valiant Comics and is an original story developed in collaboration with Valiant Entertainment.”
According to the game’s official description, in Shadowman: Darque Legacy, players will combat a terrifying range of enemies in visceral battles. They’ll face off against the Brethren cultists, including hammer-wielding brutes and sorcerous necromancers, as well as repulsive creatures that have emerged from the most barren depths. Players will use a variety of Shadowman weapons to deliver brutal and gory finishing moves.
The exact release date of the game in 2024, its price, and when it will be available again are yet unknown.
