Capcom has a long history of adapting video games into movies, and despite past artistic failures on the big screen, the company is set to continue this trend.

The popular game Street Fighter will soon make a comeback to cinema under the supervision of Capcom and Legendary.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Danny and Michael Philippou are currently in advanced negotiations to direct the film. The brothers are known for their work in horror films, and their recent movie Talk to Me gained attention after being showcased at the Sundance Film Festival.
They were also part of the technical team for the film Mister Badabook and gained fame for their series RackaRacka. Their style differs from what fans would typically expect from a Street Fighter movie… though let’s give them benefit of the doubt.
In the meantime, Street Fighter 6 is set to be released on June 2, 2023, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
